Join us for our 15th Annual First Lieutenant Mark Dooley Veterans Memorial 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, March 24, 2019. 


First Lieutenant Mark H. Dooley, was a native of Wallkill. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 3rd Battalion, 172nd Infantry Regiment (Mountain), 42nd Infantry Division, Jericho, Vermont. He was also a member of the Wilmington's police department for three months before his unit and was called to active duty in Iraq.

First Lieutenant Mark H. Dooley was not only an "amazing and gifted officer" who felt a duty to serve his country, he was an adored son and inspiring older brother. His encouraging quoted words "Remember, time is a gift." will be forever valued.


Runners and walkers to begin at 9am and must be checked in by 830am. This race is SNOW, RAIN or SHINE. 

Online Registration is $17.00
Day of Registration is $20.00. 

Continental breakfast to be served at the park and all pre-registrants will receive a race tee shirt.




This is an out and back on Patura Road in Modena, New York. The course is the same for runners and walkers. The elevation starts off on a slight down hill and a gradual up to the turnaround, then downhill with a slight up at the end.

Awards will be distributed immediately following the last runner. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age group. The age groups are as follows: 12 & Under, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59. 60-69, 70 and over. 

This race will support the Southern Ulster Rotary Scholarship Fund for Wallkill and Marlboro High School students.  Each school will receive one $500.00 Academic Scholarship and one $500.00 Vo-Tech School Scholarship. 

Sponsor names will appear on the race T-Shirts, which are distributed to all registrants and will also appear on our club website and Facebook page. Sponsorship is $100.00 and is due by April 1, 2020.   We appreciate your support!
